I was referred to the JET shop at EBCF to access National Careers Service. The Adviser helped me develop an action plan for me to get a job. The staff at the centre were very helpful and offered free coffee and tea during my visits (small things like that matter). I received help with my CV, interview skills and was given a list of jobs I could apply for. Thanks to EBCF I am now working at Amazon and tell all my friends and family to go and visit EBCF.

EBCF is a wonderfully friendly and professional centre, great location, clean and beautifully kept newly done. Salon is at high spec, looks and feels great professional products used. Our tutor was not just a tutor she was a tutor and friend in one very helpful, clear, and understanding. THANK YOU JADE.

I would highly recommend the service and training at EBCF, I was impressed with the education I received and the quality of the salon. The training materials were so easy to understand and use. EBCF as an organisation has helped me with gaining my business admin qualification alongside gaining experience on the job. I have picked up many skills during my time here e.g. auditing, filing, manning reception and answering phone calls. I have been working on my business admin apprenticeship with EBCF and they have supported me so much during this time. Working at EBCF has strengthened my communication with other staff members because it has encouraged me to work alongside others therefore resulting in good relationships within the business and effective productivity levels. The professionalism and working environment at EBCF is second to none, being here encourages staff to want to work effectively together and to produce the best work that they can.

I have had the pleasure of working with EBCF Summerfield for my Kickstarter as an Administration Support. When I started my scheme I immediately felt welcome throughout the entire office and organisation; now my skills and confidence have grown and improved by working here. I am constantly learning from my colleagues and team leader allowing me to develop into a better employee, giving me the experience and skills set I need to progress further in my career. I am fortunate to have received this Kickstarter as every day is a different day with a different task, there is never a day of boredom.

I was referred to the kick start programme by my job coach at the job centre .I have my nursey nurse level 2 qualification but was struggling to get into employment. My job coach explained the kickstart programme and how it would be beneficial for me to engage onto it. I have started with EBCF for their Nursey Nurse Kickstart programme. Since being here, I primarily I make sure that the children in my care have a safe and nurturing environment in which to play and learn. I enjoy working with children. I can’t express how rewarding it is and how much enjoyment I get from watching a child come out of their shell and develop new skills. EBCF have been very supportive and encouraging in helping me develop and enhance my skills further.

I am working for Elevate Fashion as a retail assistant through the Government kickstart initiative. This job has allowed me to build my confidence and develop my social skills. EBCF has supported me in developing my key skills and ensuring I am happy at my placement and my needs are met. I was given comprehensive training on how to deal with customers, stock taking and how to operate the till. I am thoroughly enjoying my time at Elevate Fashion and see a future here.

I’ve been working for The Jet Shop EBCF (Head office) for 3 months now everyone is really friendly and welcoming and everyone works together as a team. If I ever needed help or advice on anything I could ask anyone everyone is approachable. I first started off as a Business Administrator and then went onto becoming a Marketing officer during my time I’ve managed to improve my customer service skills and more aware of the needs of the local community. I have helped the elderly improve ICT skills and helped National Careers Service team (NCS) by supporting customers with job search, CV production and job matching. It’s really rewarding when a customer thanks you for helping and it makes me happy to be able to give back to my community. I’ve learnt a lot about what EBCF as a company have to offer and what they do for the community and personally I think it goes unrecognised.
